Four bold slabs of color, coral, peach, warm cream and teal, meet behind the head like sunlight broken into panes of glass. That's the backdrop of the Sunwashed Palette Knife treatment: a portrait built entirely from thick, flat planes of paint, each one laid with a knife so the cheek, the collar and the background all share the same rough, sun-baked texture.
There's no smoothing here, no airbrushed skin. A jaw turning into shadow becomes three or four separate blocks of tone sitting side by side, and the warm palette (all coral, sand and turquoise, never muddy or cool) gives the whole piece the feel of late afternoon light. The face still holds every detail that makes it recognizable, just rendered in confident, chunky strokes instead of soft blending.
Working from your own photo, this kit turns that same sun-washed geometry around your subject's head and shoulders, with the pre-printed numbered canvas guiding every slab into place. It suits anyone easing into palette knife painting for the first time, and it makes a striking, personal gift for someone who'd rather hang a bold color-block portrait than a conventional one.
Pick a bright, well-lit photo with a clear three-quarter turn of the face for the best result, then let the coral and teal do the rest of the work.
You do the painting. We take care of everything else.

I did some small changes (red soles on both boots) and added extra highlights on the back pockets of the shorts. Your paints more pigmented than any other pbn’s ive done and ive done well over a hundred…Satisfied customer, will buy again.

I did this painting as a gift for my 91-year old stepdad, because it closely resembles the cover of his book that he wrote. The paints were fantastic, covering in one layer. I enjoyed creating "snow texture" on the mountains.

I like it a lot and I'm thinking about slowly buying some more that I've already looked at.

As you can see by the photo sections documented, there are sections that are impossible to see or enlarge no matter how I tried. They also is a section I just noticed in the orange middle tower that has no numbers at all. very frustrating. I am very tempted to request a refund on this one because it’s unreadable in sections. There are far too many colours in each of the windows, although I know every paint number companies does this so that’s not unusual with the companies in China that produce this. You have to better than 15% off. Your company should not be selling this until the design features are fixed.

I liked this one. Hardest part was adding the black lines in the background.

Good quality paints, not so much the brushes. Probably didn’t need 48 colours for this particular painting

Beautiful drawing! My only regret is that the paint is thick and the canvas doesn't hold it well; otherwise, it's fine overall. If you want to reply, please do so in French; it would be better. Thank you. Have a good day.

Pretty fun and sometimes didn’t want to put the brush down. Paint didn’t run out and still had some left for touch ups. Will definitely purchase others.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. Every kit includes a pre-printed canvas with numbered sections, high-opacity acrylic paint pots matched to those numbers, three wooden-handle brushes in different sizes, and a printed reference image with instructions. The only extras worth grabbing are a cup of water for rinsing brushes and a paper towel for drying them. Most customers paint straight out of the box.
We'll send you replacement paint free of charge. Just email hello@davincified.com with your order number and the color number you're missing. Every kit includes more paint than the design requires, and our high-opacity formula covers the numbers in a single coat, so running out is rare. Replacements are matched to your kit, so the finished painting stays consistent.
Yes. Paint by numbers was made for people with zero experience: match each numbered paint pot to the numbered sections on the canvas and fill them in, one color at a time. If you've painted over a section and forgot its number, the included reference map shows what's underneath. And if you already paint, you'll find plenty of detailed designs to dive into as well. Every kit is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Three things: materials, technology, and the guarantee behind them. You get a wrinkle-free linen-blend canvas that's individually primed, high-opacity paints that cover the numbers in one coat, and quality brushes. Custom kits use our Smart Sectioning algorithm, and the Color Preview shows exactly how your finished kit will look before you order. Everything ships in a protective tube and is backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Most orders arrive within 1-2 weeks, depending on your country. As soon as your order ships you'll get an email with a tracking number, and you can follow it any time on our Track Order page. We ship to 100+ countries, and the delivery estimate for your country is shown right on the product page.
Plan for 8-12 hours on a simpler design with around 24 colors, and 20+ hours for detailed 36- or 48-color designs. Most people spread that across a week or two of relaxed evening sessions. There's no rush: sealed paint pots keep well between sessions. Painting toward a gift date? Pick a lower color count.
